Who is responsible for your data

TakNex Labs Co., Ltd., which operates Clippr, is the data controller for the personal data described here, under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019).

This page describes what is actually collected by this application — not a general policy. Where a piece of data is only collected in one situation, that situation is named.

What we collect

Your account: name, email address, phone number, profile photo if you upload one, and your language.

Your addresses, including their map coordinates, so a pro can actually find the door.

Your bookings: what you booked, when, with which pro, what it cost, and how it ended.

Your wallet: your credit balance and every movement of it. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own pages and never reach Clippr — we hold only what Stripe tells us about a payment.

Messages you send in a booking chat, and any reviews or ratings you write.

Pros also give us an identity document, criminal-record certificate, record of their explicit consent to its verification use, portfolio photos, a base location and travel radius, and — held by Stripe, not by us — the bank details their earnings go to.

Location while a job is on the way

A pro's live location is shared with the customer only while that pro is travelling to the appointment, and it stops when the job ends. It is not collected at any other time, and it is never shared with anyone other than the customer waiting for them.

A customer's address is shared with the pro for a booking they have accepted, and not before.

Why we use it

To do what you asked: find a pro, make the booking, take the payment, get someone to your door.

To keep the service safe and honest — checking pros, investigating fraud, and looking into a report.

With a pro's explicit consent, to collect and review their criminal-record certificate as part of their application. Without it, we cannot complete the application.

Because the law requires it: payment and accounting records have to be kept.

With your consent, for notifications. You can turn those off in Account → Settings without losing anything else.

Who else sees it

The pro you booked sees your name, your address, your phone number and what you booked. They never see your wallet or your payment history.

You see the pro's name, photo, and their location while they are on their way to you.

A customer review is published anonymously. Clippr does not show the reviewer's name or profile photo, the exact time it was written, or the booking it came from; customer reviews are released together in a weekly batch.

Criminal-record certificates are not shown to customers or other pros. Only authorised Clippr staff may access them for verification.

Our service providers, who handle data on our instructions and nothing else: Stripe (payments and pro payouts), Supabase (database and hosting), Resend (email notifications).

Anthropic, but only if you use the style advisor — see below.

Clippr does not sell personal data, and does not share it for anyone else's advertising.

The style advisor

If you send a photo to the style advisor, it is read in your browser and sent with that one request to Anthropic, which produces the recommendation. It is never uploaded to our storage and it is not kept after the answer comes back. It exists for one request.

The advisor is optional. Nothing else in the app changes if you never use it.

How long we keep it

Account and profile data: until you delete your account.

Payment, booking and ledger records: kept after your account is deleted, because accounting and tax law requires it. They are separated from your name first — what remains is the transaction, not the person.

Chat messages and reviews: while the account exists. A published review stays after deletion, anonymously.

Criminal-record certificates: while the application is under review and, if approved, while the pro account remains active. We delete them when the account is deleted and within 90 days after an application is rejected.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and withdraw a consent you gave.

Some of these have limits set by other law — a payment record cannot be deleted on request, because it has to be kept.

If you think your data has been handled wrongly, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) in Thailand.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, from Account → Settings. It cannot be undone.

Your name, email, phone, photo and saved addresses are removed. Your sign-in is revoked. Reviews you wrote stay published anonymously.

Your payment and booking history stays, without your name attached, because the law requires those records to be kept.

Deletion is refused while a booking is still open or money is still in flight — an account that vanishes mid-job strands somebody else's money, and that is a worse outcome than waiting a day.

Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted, and card details never touch our servers at all.

No system is beyond failure. If a breach affects your data, you will be told, as the PDPA requires.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, that change is announced in the app before it takes effect.
